Haneda vs Narita — Which One for Tokyo?
Both airports serve Tokyo, but they're very different. Here's how to choose.
Haneda Airport (HND)
Pros
- Only 15–30 min to central Tokyo
- More international flights from major carriers
Cons
- Flights can be more expensive
- Less budget airline options
Narita International Airport (NRT)
Pros
- Hub for low-cost carriers (Peach, Jetstar, etc.)
- Often cheaper flights
Cons
- 60–90 min to central Tokyo
- Transport to city costs more
Choose Haneda if convenience matters most. Choose Narita if you're flying budget or your flight only operates from there.
